Here's the abbreviated version. If you want the full version, including screen shots and arrows, click the exhibit link to view/download a pdf.

Just-the-Facts-Ma'am

  1. Click the ME tab.  Complete and save your profile. This takes about 30 seconds.

  2. Click on the CREATIONS tab. Click on Table.  This will let you upload a dataset from your computer.

  3. Click on the Browse button to find the file you want to use.
  4. After finding the file you want to use, Click the Import button.

You just created your first Lyza item.  Congratulations.

  5. To play with this data in Lyza's charting tool, click the View As Chart link immediately above the table.

  6. Within the chart page, drag columns FROM the Dataset list ONTO the Metrics and Horizontal Series slots to the right.

  7. When you create a chart you like, click SAVE and give it a name.

  8. To share the chart with your friends, click Manage Sharing.

Now, if you want to create another chart off that same dataset, you can either start over at Step 5 above, or you can just modify the current chart and save the new chart format under a new chart name.  That's all there is to it.

Enjoy!
